The amazing team of eye and vision specialists at Parkhurst NuVision in San Antonio is growing. Again!
Just in time for the back-to-school rush, Dr. Roberto (Bobby) Saenz will join the Parkhurst NuVision team in late summer.
He may be new to Parkhurst NuVision, but for Dr. Saenz, this is a homecoming! The San Antonio native is so happy to return to his hometown to establish his practice. “I grew up five minutes from Parkhurst NuVision,” said Dr. Saenz. “It will be great to serve the community I grew up in.”
Dr. Saenz graduated summa cum laude from both Abilene Christian University and the University of Houston College of Optometry. He recently completed a residency in refractive surgery and ocular disease at Houston’s prestigious Eye Center of Texas, and is ready to hit the ground running at Parkhurst NuVision in August.
“Dr. Saenz is a great addition to the Parkhurst NuVision team as he is extremely knowledgeable in the area of continuing education for optometrists, particularly in the area of surgical co-management,” said Dr. Greg Parkhurst.
“He brings a lot of energy and excitement, and we can’t wait to welcome him. One of his professors from optometry school called me a couple of years ago to let me know about Dr. Saenz and his desire to return home to practice in San Antonio, calling him the best student she has ever taught and someone who would be a great fit for the culture we have established at Parkhurst NuVision. As a rising star in the profession, we are so thrilled he has chosen to join our team.Greg Parkhurst
Dr. Saenz is passionate about service and has participated in many medical mission trips to underserved countries including Panama, Mexico and Costa Rica. He and his wife serve the youth of their church, are HUGE Spurs fans and are expecting their first child in July.
